The Army STEMEducation ConsortiumASEC
Army STEM is led by a consortium of organizations. Together, they shape the vision, make key decisions, and ensure high-quality experiences for students nationwide.
U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command
DEVCOM is the Army’s science, technology, and engineering organization dedicated to developing combat capabilities. It comprises six technology centers, a research laboratory, and an artificial intelligence center, which together conduct basic and applied research and lifecycle engineering to accelerate the delivery of capabilities to the Army. The Army Research Laboratory, the Army’s sole fundamental research laboratory, is among them.
DEVCOM administers the Army STEM Education Consortium cooperative agreement on behalf of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology, providing technical and fiscal oversight of the partnership. Its STEM outreach team coordinates the Army’s centralized STEM education and outreach efforts across Army commands and laboratories nationwide, connecting students and educators with Army scientists, engineers, and research facilities.
I hope to broaden what people picture when they hear “U.S. Army.” Students can build careers in a wide range of fields and be part of the Army without wearing a uniform.
Meet Our Team
Meet the people behind Army STEM. Our team brings together educators, researchers, program leaders, and Army partners who work across the consortium to connect students, scholars, and teachers with STEM opportunities nationwide.
