Alumni Network
One community, built from everyone who has taken part in Army STEM: students, mentors, teachers, judges, and volunteers.
No matter how you have interacted with Army STEM: if you spent a summer in an Army research lab, were an eCYBERMISSION judge or team coach, gave a talk about you STEM career or participated in one or in several programs over the years.
You’re part of the Army STEM community.

That includes you if you have:
- Participated in a program — GEMS, eCYBERMISSION, JSHS, an internship, a fellowship, a Teacher Fellowship. Any of them, any year, at any age.
- Mentored, coached, judged, or taught.
- Hosted a student or program in your lab.
- Volunteered at an Army STEM event.
Plenty of people have done several of these — a GEMS student who came back as a Near-Peer Mentor, a Teacher Fellow who brings their classroom into eCYBERMISSION.
Army STEM programs have been running for more than fifty years. The people who have come through them are now in research labs, classrooms, graduate programs, and fields that didn’t exist when they started.
Whatever you’re working toward, someone in this community is a few steps ahead of it — and someone else is a few steps behind you, asking the question you just answered.
We’re building ways for you to stay connected: to Army STEM, and to each other. That includes opportunities for anyone who wants to take a more active role, and resources to keep developing your own work along the way.
Check back soon or sign up for our email updates to be the first to hear about new alumni opportunities.

Alumni of Army STEM programs are eligible for our Travel Award to present research!
As an alumni, we hope you’ll stay connected! There are a variety of ways to get involved.
There has been so much that I’ve learned through GEMS that has prepared me for success in various scientific fields. This past summer, I was at the University of Maryland-Baltimore, where I was the lead mentor for a research and mentoring program; my years as a NPM more than prepared me for this role.
