Gains in the Education of Mathematics and Science

GEMS participants will be engaged in hands-on activities, work in collaborative groups and interact with scientists and engineers to explore various STEM subjects and careers. Students entering 6^th– 8^th grade will use the scientific method and engineering process throughout the one-week session.

Students must attend the whole program week. No exceptions. One-Week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (ET)

Student applications are completed in the online platform Ideal-Logic. Applications for 2027 GEMS will open soon and remain open until May 31, 2027. Application requirements differ depending on site.

Applications are due March 30, 2027 for all Teachers and Near-Peer Mentors.
